Did a SAM glitch impact you?
What to check and how to fix it

9/16/2026
A known glitch with SAM.gov that occurred earlier in 2026 has impacted many vendor’s registrations causing NAICS codes, small/other than small business status, and/or representations to drop off or reset listing N/A instead of Y/N.
WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
This error could cause compliance and/or eligibility issues if it’s not fixed on your registration.
ACTION NEEDED
Log into your SAM.gov workspace and review your registration for these things below:
Check the Representations and Certifications section
Ensure your small business and socioeconomic status representations are accurate under 52.219-1.
Check NAICS Codes
Ensure your primary and secondary NAICS codes match your current business size standards.
Ensure that the NAICS associated with your contract is on your representations and properly certified as Y/N. Update any NAICS designated as N/A to Y/N.
Re-certify and Update
If your data fell off due to a glitch or expiration, choose "Update or renew my entire entity registration" and complete the questionnaire again.
SBA/Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS)
Check that your size standard or NAICS code alignment in SAM.gov matches your SBA profile data so that your small business designation displays correctly.
WHEN TO CONTACT THE FEDERAL SERVICE DESK
If your status vanishes despite a valid, active renewal and you have issues getting it fixed, submit a ticket at FSD.gov (the Federal Service Desk) to report a profile data error.
